Marketing & Communications Team

Academic Year (10 Months)
August 1, 2026 to May 30, 2027

The Marketing & Communications intern team is the creative engine that drives brand awareness, enrollment, and engagement within The Neurodiversity Alliance’s digital community. Interns in this department work to amplify student voices and highlight national campaigns across multiple platforms.

All internship positions are a 10-month commitment beginning August 1, 2026, and concluding at the end of May 2027. As a core part of the experience, every intern will attend the National Neurodiversity Leadership Summit in Denver, CO, where you will meet your cohort in person, receive specialized training, and help facilitate our flagship national event.

Content Creator

  • Summary: As the visual and narrative voice of the organization, Content Creators produce high-quality multimedia assets that translate our mission into engaging digital stories.
  • Qualifications: Creativity, strong storytelling skills, and experience with creative tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing software.
  • Focus Areas: We are looking for creators passionate about Social Media, Blogs & Newsletters, and Graphic Design.
  • Project Example: Developing a multi-platform content series that features student stories through short-form video, custom graphics, and written blog posts.

Marketing Coordinator

  • Summary: Marketing Coordinators manage the logistical execution and public visibility of the organization’s initiatives, bridging the gap between internal strategy and external audiences.
  • Qualifications: Strong organizational and communication skills, with an interest in public relations, journalism, or project management.
  • Focus Areas:  Focus areas include PR & Media Relations, National Awareness Campaigns, and Merchandising & Product Promotion.
  • Project Example: Building a media contact database and coordinating the outreach schedule for a major national advocacy campaign.

Analytics & Growth Specialist

  • Summary: This specialist will use data-driven insights to monitor performance and identify opportunities for expanding our digital reach.
  • Qualifications: An analytical mindset, attention to detail, and interest in technical marketing tools.
  • Focus Areas: Data-focused work across Social Media, Email & SMS, and Website & SEO.
  • Project Example: Analyzing monthly engagement metrics to recommend content optimizations that increase community growth.

How to Apply

The application will be available within The Neurodiversity Alliance online portal and mobile app beginning February 15, 2026. Once logged in, look for the link to the “Internship Application” on the left menu bar.
