The Fundraising & Operations intern team ensures the organization’s long-term sustainability by managing donor relationships, internal administration, and logistical efficiency.
All internship positions are a 10-month commitment beginning August 1, 2026, and concluding at the end of May 2027. As a core part of the experience, every intern will attend the National Neurodiversity Leadership Summit in Denver, CO, where you will meet your cohort in person, receive specialized training, and help facilitate our flagship national event.
Development Coordinator
- Summary: Development Coordinators manage the lifecycle of gifts, from executing fundraising campaigns to building long-term relationships with donors and alumni.
- Qualifications: Exceptional interpersonal skills, persuasive writing, and a background in relationship management.
- Focus Areas: Focus on Fundraising Campaigns & Give Days or Donor & Alumni Relations.
- Project Example: Drafting an impact report for donors or coordinating a regional “Give Day” fundraising campaign.
Operations Coordinator
- Summary: Operations Specialists are the logistical backbone of the organization. They manage our internal HR/culture, and financial transparency, ensuring every department has the tools and support needed to succeed.
- Qualifications: High attention to detail, reliability, and comfort with administrative workflows, vendor communication, or financial data.
- Focus Areas: Specialized roles include Finance & Accounting, People & Culture, Learning & Development, Data & Analytics
