Sam F. (he/they) is a senior from Grand Rapids, Michigan, studying Psychology at Grand Valley State University. Sam plans to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology and become a professor focused on autism research. They enjoy reading, hiking, and participating in peer support groups.

Sam volunteers as a crisis counselor and works in a psychiatric hospital, alongside volunteering with Best Buddies. After years of feeling ashamed of their neurodiversity, the Alliance taught Sam to be proud of their differences and to use them as strengths to build community connections.
