ADHD/ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia

My autism really allows me to delve deep into any subject matter and learn a lot about it. I am really proud of what I have done with the ND Alliance, and it really helped me come into my own and accept this part of myself that I dismissed.

Diagnosed with autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, Julien has come to see their neurodivergence as a source of strength. While they didn’t think much about its impact as a child, their perspective shifted in high school when they became involved with the ND Alliance. Starting as an intern at the National Summit, they later founded a neurodiversity club at their school, creating a space for students to connect and advocate for their needs. Through the ND Alliance, they found both community and a platform for advocacy. Their dedication led them to join the National Student Advisory Council, where they now work to amplify the voices of neurodiverse students on a larger scale.
