Julia Almonte (she/her), from New York, NY, is an alum of the Neurodiversity Alliance, formerly known as Eye to Eye. She studied Fine Arts with a focus on Photography and Advertising at The City College of New York. Julia is a first-generation Dominican and dyslexic, which has presented challenges she has learned to navigate. 

Her hobbies include taking classes with The Lighting Social, a Brooklyn-based group where locals experiment with lighting and photography, as well as going to the gym and jogging. She joined the Alumni Advisory Council because her experiences with the Alliance provided a safe space and a strong understanding of her learning differences, showing her that it is possible to thrive academically while having an LD. She hopes to create that same supportive environment for others, particularly those facing multiple intersectional challenges and biases.
