While navigating the challenges of a broken education system is a significant part of my story, another key part is how I built an online community of individuals with learning disabilities. My greatest passion is advocating for the learning disability community and I hope to continue to do that for a very long time through social media, and hopefully one day, through in-person events.

Jacquelyn was diagnosed with dyslexia at age nine and dyscalculia at 14, making her school experience challenging and, at times, traumatic. Like many in the learning disability community, she faced skepticism from educators who doubted her need for accommodations because of her strong academic performance. The most difficult moment came during her sophomore year when she was found ineligible for an individualized education plan, despite relying on one since third grade. Losing it left her feeling angry and lost, but her family filed a complaint with outside help and it was ultimately reinstated.
