Carina is from the Bronx, NY (she, her, ella). She is currently in her first year of her MSW program at Columbia University. After graduating, Carina hopes to obtain her NY LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) and work for the hospital system, focusing on neurodiversity while pursuing a career in mental health advocacy.

Carina enjoys movies, reading, yoga, going to the beach, and concerts. Carina’s last concert was Avril Lavigne and Shakira. Carina has a special connection to the Neurodiversity Alliance as she started her journey being a mentor, camp counselor, then became a student coordinator for Hunter College, a former fellow, senior ambassador, and now in her current role, Carina serves as an intern with the outreach team. Carina is dedicated and passionate about the neurodiversity community because it has helped her find her voice while discovering her power, in addition to wanting to see more representation and inclusion for neurodivergent students.
