ADHD/ADD, Hyperactivity
Diagnosed with ADHD at age seven, Brendan developed a deep desire to support others with similar experiences. This passion led them to establish the first neurodiversity club at their university, creating a space for students to connect, share experiences, and celebrate their unique perspectives. Academically, they are designing a major in computational biophysics, an interdisciplinary field combining mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science. Brendan’s research focuses on advancing computational simulations of molecules and proteins, with the goal of modeling brain function and contributing to artificial intelligence and neuroscience. What was once seen as a lack of focus as a child is now their greatest strength—an insatiable curiosity that drives them toward discovery. Looking ahead, they hope to merge their research with advocacy efforts, fostering a world that fully embraces neurodiversity.
