2026 Scholarship Recipient
California Polytechnic University, CA
Avari B. (she/her) is a sophomore from San Luis Obispo, California, attending California Polytechnic University. She is pursuing a dual path in Liberal Arts Independent Study and Systems Engineering with the ambitious goal of starting and running a company dedicated to serving the neurodivergent community. Outside of her professional goals, Avari is a creative individual who finds expression through photography, poetry, and entrepreneurship.
On campus, Avari is deeply immersed in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, participating in the Cal Poly Entrepreneurs club and The Hatchery, a student business incubator. She joined The Neurodiversity Alliance after a late-in-life diagnosis left her craving a sense of belonging. Through the Alliance’s Leadership Summit, she found a transformative community where she no longer felt the need to “mask” her true self. This experience inspired her startup, Learning Curb, through which she aims to create a meaningful, lasting impact for others who share her journey.
