Neurodiversity Acceptance Month may have wrapped up in April, but the momentum continued well into May with powerful events, inspiring voices, and exciting updates across The ND Alliance community. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

Celebrating Neurodivergent Voices Across the Country


NYC Inclusion Summit (April 4)

Held at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, the Inclusion Summit brought together educators, students, and community leaders for a dynamic day of collaboration, creativity, and advocacy. From powerful panels to student-led discussions, the energy was electric—and the call to action was clear.

Awareness to Action: Neurodiversity Advocacy (April 22)

Hosted virtually by our National Student Advisory Council, this student-led event explored what advocacy really means—and how to make it personal. Attendees heard real stories from neurodivergent leaders, explored different forms of advocacy, and walked away with tools to create change in their own schools and communities.

Learn Different Day NYC (April 26)

This vibrant celebration of learning differences, hosted at Baruch College, welcomed students and families from across New York City. The event featured hands-on workshops, resource connections, and storytelling that uplifted diverse ways of thinking and learning.

Student Spotlight: Dimitris’ Senior Send-Off

We’re proud to share the debut of “Not Afraid,” an original music video from Dimitris—a graduating senior, chapter leader, and proud autistic rapper. Accepted to two colleges and preparing to become the first in his family to attend, Dimitris plans to major in music and production. Watch his powerful performance and join us in celebrating this milestone moment!

Animator, entrepreneur, and Love on the Spectrum cast member Dani Bowman joined us for a live conversation on neurodiversity, mental health, and what it means to launch a business at age 14. Give Day is almost here! Every dollar donated on June 10 will be matched by the Johnson Scholarship Foundation, doubling your impact. Whether it’s $5 or $50, your support helps us fund scholarships, start campus clubs, and train the next generation of neurodivergent leaders.

🚀 National Student Summit – August 7–10

Mark your calendars for the biggest event of the summer! The 2025 National Student Summit will bring over 200 student leaders to the University of Denver for an unforgettable weekend of workshops, speakers, and community-building.
