Jewell Loyd is one of the most decorated and dynamic players in women’s basketball. Drafted #1 overall by the Seattle Storm in the 2015 WNBA Draft after forgoing her senior season at the University of Notre Dame, she quickly made her mark as the WNBA Rookie of the Year. She played with the Seattle Storm from 2015–2024 before joining the Las Vegas Aces in 2025.
A two-time WNBA Champion (2018, 2020), Jewell has also earned six WNBA All-Star selections (2018, 2019, 2021–2024), three All-WNBA honors, and the 2023 WNBA All-Star MVP title. She set a then-league record by scoring 939 points in 2023, becoming a WNBA Peak Performer, and surpassed her 5,000th career point in June 2024—cementing her place as one of the youngest and fastest players in league history to achieve the milestone. Her consistency is unmatched, with more games scoring in double figures than any other player since she entered the league.
On the international stage, Jewell is a two-time Olympic gold medalist (2020, 2024), a two-time FIBA World Cup gold medalist (2018, 2022), and a 2014 FIBA 3×3 World Cup gold medalist. She holds multiple WNBA records, including most free throws made without a miss by a rookie and the All-Star Game record for 3-pointers made (10).
